Was There Ever A Cat So Clever As Magical Mr. Mistoffelees!

If there is one thing I dislike about musical theatre, is that when I see a show that is so amazing, I can't watch it over and over again!  Mummy dearest took me to see Cats on Sunday - and, if I do say so myself, it was quite fabulous!

The show was really enjoyable, and all round fun.  I had a big smile on my face for most of the time.  I liked all of the songs, but only loved a few of them.  My favourite had to be "Mr. Mistoffelees," because Rum Tug Tugger is fabulous.  Its like Bon Jovi and Frank-n-Furter had a crazy love child...cat.  He was fierce, and he strutted and thrusted all over the stage, and he relished in the attention.  I loved him - new favourite fictional cat!  It was so cute when all the kittens mewed for him.  He was that kind of a man...cat.

Mr Mistoffelees was so cool - from the moment he descended from the roof, in his glowy, sparkly velvet jacket I was sold.  He was f-amazing.  And, and he did 24 turns.  On one foot.  I was dizzy just watching him.  But he was so cool, and fierce, and I loved him.  He and Rum Tug Tuggers did a wonderful little duet, and I loved that Rum Tug Tuggers had to one-up him all the time.

What was interesting was that one of the actors was the Caleb kid from So You Think You Can Dance!  The young guy that was awesome but too young?  He nuzzled me!  All up in my business.  But he was cute, and such a hot cat.  I also got groped by another cat who wouldn't stop gyrating.  Its always fun when the cast come into the audience;  I was reminded of when I was taken to see The Lion King broadway from my birthday!  Wonderful little flamboyant animals in the aisles.

What I didn't like so much was that there was no dialogue.  I think that's what made it a little lacking, but other than that it was great.  It wasn't as good as Wicked, but I loved Mr. Mistoffelees and Rum Tug Tugger more than Galinda. :D
