Did You Know That Dolphins Are Just Gay Sharks?

It's not everyday that your parents would risk a late night to see a movie the day it comes out in cinemas, so hurray for them when they said yes to seeing Iron Man 2 on Thursday!  I really enjoyed it - I thought it was quite different to the first, and usually that's a bad thing, but here it was fabulous!

RDJ was fantastic, as always, and I didn't think it was possible for that man to get finer, but when he took his shirt off, there was just a look shared between mother and daughter.  The man looks dapper as hell in suits, and even better in the Iron Man suit.

New Rhodey wasn't bad, I liked him.  The dynamic between Rhodey and Tony was awesome, and one of my favourite scenes was their fight in Tony's home.  Best friends fighting it out in the Iron Man suits?  So cool.

Speaking of, Tony getting drunk at his birthday and dancing in the suit?  Hilarity.  I just love the man.  I also want a repulsor gauntlet that people had at Stark Expo.  A lot.

Mickey Rourke as Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo/Whatever was good, too.  He and Justin Hammer (who was so hilariously tragic) were a pretty fun duo.  Oh, and Ivan's byrt, too.

Pepper really annoyed me in this one, too.  She was tolerable in Iron Man, but I could not stand her here.  And Gwyneth Paltrow doesn't help much.  Rachel McAdams FTW.

I was hesitant about ScarJo as Black Widow, but I was proved wrong.  She was awesome when she needed to be, and I shipped her with Tony more that Tony/Pepper.  'Cause, really.

But what I was most excited about came after the credits.  But I'll squee about that at the end of the post, for those who do not want to be spoiled.

8.5/10, cutting this review short, because you know what else came back on Thursday?

GLEE.

Oh, four months seemed like four years.  I missed you, show.  And the series return, like Iron Man 2, didn't disappoint.  The writing was back to the eary days of the show, being weird, and kind of outrageous, and awesome.
Brit was her fabulous self, with her dumb, yet hilarious, one liners, and her awesome BFF-ing with Santana.  Puck and Quinn are adorable, and their fights were good.  Idina Menzel was fierce, and I loved the showface scene.  Look so optimistic that it could cure cancer! LOVE IT. Jesse St James is very cute, but it kinda sucks that he's gay in real life.

What I didn't like so much was the songs - what is usually so very well integrated into the episode, this time round it felt like the writers just put a song in there for the sake of a musical scene.  And Rachel, I love you, but some songs are just gendered, you can't pull off "Gives You Hell," sweetie.

Excited for Madonna-episode, and more fabulosity from the cast.  I missed it so much.

Now, back to Ext. 2.  Sad face.
Also, spoiler:

THORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. :D :D :D
